He was just after her money. But its disgusting how much Dr Sloper compared Cathrine to her mother. Making Cathy feel that she was no one, making it that much easier for Morris to get her attention. Living with only her father, its really no wonder she fell totally in love with the first person who treated her like a lady, even if it was for the wrong reasons.
Had she and Morris been married, I think they would have been happy together, happier than they are at present, at least.

So as far as I can figure out, an economists job is to watch people and take notes and then find some sort of pattern between two obscure charts and make up some reason why they have an effect on each other. True, the Klan and Real estate agents both manipulate information, but that would be like me writing an article about how INCREDIBLY similar cantalopes are to tennis balls. We even have experts quoted as saying "Yep, these are two really round chunks of matter".
