A rant, with a few hidden well-thought-out points.
Dear Fundie,
Scientists rely solely on facts.
Fundamentalists completely on the bible.
So how is it possible to get these two sorts of people to stop making the same arguments they've been trying to make for the past eighty years (because they're obviously not working) and just get over their stubbornness and reach a compromise.
Are you saying we came from monkeys?
No you fool, I'm saying we EVOLVED. A monkey did not give birth to a human, that only happens in your family. (JERRY JERRY! Where's that chanting coming from?)
A monkey gave birth to another monkey which found that if you hit the coconut with a rock, it'll break and give you food. It then showed all it's little monkey friends and thus the use of tools was born. It's a very long process.
Maybe God created humans with a very small brain capacity, then noticing that he could give them more mental power, he did. Wasn't it you who brought up the theory that a second to God is the equivalent of decades to us? I believe you told me that to try to justify what you said about the holocaust being punishment to the Jews who killed Jesus and said "let his blood be on our heads."
Maybe God needed to ease humanity into the world because if we were just put there it would be traumatizing. We would never last in the stone ages or before with our flimsy fingernails and no fur coat and an inability to run fast or tolerate temperatures outside of a thirty-five degree range of fifty degrees farenhiet. We know that, God knows that, the American People know that.
God knows what's best for us. God has a plan for everything. There is scientific proof that humans evolved from "monkeys". I know you feel offended that I'm comparing you to a hairy smelly animal but it's true. Even if it messes with your pride, God still knows whats going on. God loves us. We are God's children. Would God mislead the very people it cherishes above all things?
God has a plan for everything. God does everything for a reason. Isn't that what you say to drug addicts and abused wives and everyone else whom life has treated just like you treat homosexuals and abortion doctors?
You don't understand, it's okay. We're not supposed to understand. Just swallow your pride and accept that God chose to have us evolve. Is that so hard?
P.S. If Jesus could see you being the racist, sexist, bigoted moron you are he would convert to atheism on the spot.
