Dude, I friggin hate the holocaust.
What I hate more is that I know I have to learn about it. And the more graphically my people die, the better the point is put across.
Someone said once that if you don't learn from history, you're doomed to repeat it. And while I'm all for education and everything...But God that was gross.
Its just so horrible what people will do to each other when they think it'll solve all their problems. Hitler's logic was all wrong. What scares me the most is that Hitler was elected through democratic process.

I honestly have no way of telling if Hollywood has managed to convey the true horrors of the holocaust. I don't really think they have just because as I watched it I was in a recliner with a coke and a box of wheat thins. Its hard to comprehend torture unless youve been through it yknow?
Just like when it's eighty degrees out you have trouble imagining the feeling of frostbite.

I guess people did their part for the nation and the world and everything what with hollywood and the films and everything.
I'm not gonna compare that war to this one in terms of American involvement in foriegn wars and whether or not it's our duty to intervene. I need to give it a little more thought.*

*It is good that America got involved in the wars overseas in the past few years, but we've been going about it all wrong. The United Nations should have been way more involved in this, we shouldn't have let our prode get in the way of what was actually good for the majority of the people over there. I don't see how sending people in to provide more violence makes anything better.
There should have been negotiations at the UN. The right people would have been charged with war crimes, manslaughter, etc and then how bout we divide the middle east according to population of each group. Get a mutual agreement not to kill each other in the best interest of everyone and take out all our political frustrations in courts and not with random bombings.
