secret final tourists of katrina... O.o
Hurricane Katrina
Secret Honor
Final Days
Tourist Season
Katrina...
Citrus high school is doing its own part in helping out after Katrina destroyed New Orleans, Mississippi and part of the panhandle. Some refugees (for lack of a better word) of New Orleans have set up camp near Pensacola. (And by camp I mean like.. tents. No plumbing, no bathing, no washing of anything.. Camp.)
Coach Not-a-coach is taking up collection of money, shampoo, towels, deoderant, books, etc to take up to these camps friday night.
All around the country and even the world people are opening up their hearts and wallets to these people whose lives were destroyed. Just this morning Ms Neander was telling us about a three-year-old boy that smashed his piggy bank on the table to give his savings to victems of this natural disaster.
Secret Honour: Its funny. Richard Nixon has always been portrayed as poosibly the worst US president in history. To see his point of view is really very interesting. He explains why he did everything, why *he* was trying to save America. To look out for the little guys. He didn't want all this to blow up in his face, he was only trying to protect America. Anyone interested in the Watergate scandal really should see this performance.
Final Days....
More details on the days leading up to Nixon's resignation. Things that went on in and around the white house. Rumours, papers, stories and tearful goodbyes.
Tourist Season
Its amazing how many times "revolutionary" and "terrorist" can be used interchangably in the english (or indeed any) language. Each person involved in las noches de decimbre had his own reason for doing what they did. The ironic part being that many people in Florida want exactly what they wanted. They just go about it differently....
Tourist Season kinda keeps on the theme of the newsroom. How information is kept back, mangled or simply made up to protect the paper or the people writing for it.
