MIRACLE WORKER
A few thoughts.

• <>The play Miracle Worker if very interesting to read. Mostly because It's not really the dialogue of the play that makes it such a great one.

• Since sign language is used so much, I think it would make a better production than a script.

• It would take very good acting to portray Helen. Off in her own world, oblivious to ours.

• The only problem I have with the play is that I still don't quite understand what happened with Annie and her brother.. I have a vague idea but I'd like to know more.
  

OLD SCHOOL
Some more thoughts

• This novel seems like a coninuation of This Boy's Life. I think having read Tobias's memior, I can understand more of Old School when he talks about his family or his past.
  

• I like how vividly he portrays life in a boarding school: the constant competition for everything, the boys' relationships with the professors, the things they did for fun, the basic setup of the school and its rules...

• He mentioned a lot of authors in his novel. Hemmingway and Ayn Rand and Robert Frost and a few others that sound like very interesting people. I like the thought of reading your favourite author's favourite authors. That's how I found Tobias Wolff.
